BLUE PREFERENCE SHARES
Shareholders are referred to the company`s announcement on SENS on 16 September
2008 wherein shareholders were made aware of American International Group
("AIG`s") intention to convert their second tranche of equity invested in Blue,
namely the Blue Class B preference shares held by them, into Blue ordinary
shares.
AIG currently owns 61 801 756 Blue Class B preference shares which may be
converted, based on agreed upon conversion calculations as more fully set out in
Annexure 12 of the Company`s pre-listing statement dated 11 October 2006, into
48 461 893 Blue ordinary shares.
The AIG conversion shares were issued and listed on the JSE Limited with effect
from the commencement of trade on Friday, 19 September 2008.
The issue of the AIG conversion shares results in AIG having an effective
interest of 22% in Blue.
