TRADING UPDATE
In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the
financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by more than 20%
from that of the previous corresponding period. Accordingly, a review of the
financial results for the year ended 30 June 2008 by management has indicated
that earnings per share are expected to be between 43% and 63% higher and
headline earnings per share are expected to be up to 20% higher than the
previous corresponding period.
The current year results have been influenced by favourable property
revaluations following on from prior year results which had been severely and
adversely impacted by the straightlining effects of the cancellation and
subsequent renewal of the company`s major rental agreement.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by Putprop`s auditors.
Putprop`s financial results are expected to be released on SENS on or about 30
September 2008.
