CHANGES IN DIRECTORATE
Pursuant to the recently announced retirement of Don MacLeod, who will be
succeeded as Managing Director by Graham Clark from 1 April 2009, the company
advises that John Russell, currently the New Projects Director of Illovo, will
also be retiring on 31 March 2009 at the age of 60. In line with the company`s
succession plan David Haworth and Larry Riddle have been appointed as executive
directors with effect from 1 April 2009.
Mr Haworth (59) holds a B.Sc (Hons) degree and has extensive operational and
commercial experience throughout Africa and internationally. He joined the group
in 1999 to head up Illovo`s operations in Tanzania before being appointed as
Managing Director, Illovo (Malawi) in 2006.
Mr Riddle (49) is a chartered accountant who joined the group in 1986 and has
subsequently held various general management positions, currently heading up the
South African operations.
