UPDATE ON EMERGENT AND RENEWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the announcement dated 15 August 2008, linked unit holders are
advised that a circular in respect of the acquisition of 80% of the entire
issued share capital of Queensgate Business Development (Proprietary) Limited
("the acquisition") is currently being finalised. The circular will include
revised listing particulars containing an application by the Company to list on
AltX. Once formal approval of the circular has been obtained from JSE Limited
("JSE") the circular will be posted to linked unit holders. Linked units in
Emergent will remain suspended until successful implementation of the
acquisition. The continued listing of Emergent is subject to the JSE approving
the acquisition in terms of its Listings Requirements. Accordingly, linked unit
holders are advised to exercise caution in their dealings in Emergent linked
units pending a further announcement.
