CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited,
the board of directors of Sentula is pleased to notify its shareholders that Mr
Patrick Modisane has been appointed as an executive director and Head of
Transformation and Human Resources with effect from 1 October 2008.
Patrick fills a newly created management role at Sentula and he will be
responsible for developing and implementing processes to ensure robust
transformation and human resources management across the group, reporting
directly to the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Robin Berry.
Mr Berry said; "We are pleased to welcome Patrick on to our management team and
we intend to implement best practice in human resources and to accelerate our
transformation processes in line with our BEE strategy across the group."
Prior to joining Sentula, Patrick was Regional Manager Employee Relations and
Transformation at Anglo Coal`s Corporate Head Office. It was his core
responsibility to effectively manage employee relations, strategies, practices
and stakeholder management since 2005. Previously he was Human resources manager
at Kleinkopje, Greenside and New Vaal Collieries.
His human resources experience includes dealing with trade unions, wage and
conditions of employment negotiations, conducting HR audits, advice and support
in dispute cases, succession planning, developing relevant remuneration
structures and employee benefits schemes as well as recruitment selection and
placement strategies.
Patrick`s transformation management experience includes developing and
implementing employment equity strategies, conducting employment equity audits
and managing stakeholder communications and cultural diversity initiatives.
