Sales update for the 13 weeks to 28 September 2008
Included in the Massmart 2008 Annual Report, to be released shortly, is the
following sales update.
Massmart Group`s total sales for the 13 week period increased to R9.9 billion, a
growth of 13.1% over the prior year, with inflation estimated at 8.7%.
Comparable store sales grew 11.8% over the period.
The above information has not been reviewed or reported on by the Company`s
auditors.
