THE JSE LIMITED AND THE LUXEMBOURG STOCK EXCHANGE AND THE OFFER TO
REPURCHASE ALL OF THE CONAFEX SHARES IN ISSUE OTHER THAN THOSE
HELD OR CONTROLLED BY THE MAJOR SHAREHOLDERS OF CONAFEX; AND
- WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY
1. INTRODUCTION
Shareholders are referred to the announcement published on 5 September
2008 relating to the proposed delisting of Conafex from the JSE
Limited ("the JSE") and the offer to repurchase all of the Conafex
shares in issue other than those held or controlled by the major
shareholder of Conafex.
Shareholders are advised that the company requested dispensation to do
a repurchase during a closed period and the JSE has ruled that the
company may not repurchase shares in a closed period. Accordingly,
the company may not proceed with the repurchase of the shares as
proposed, until the company publishes its financial information
for the year ended 30 September 2008.
In the circumstances, the repurchase of the company`s shares and the
proposed delisting will now only take place once the company`s
audited year end results are published which publication is
anticipated for release during the month of December 2008.
Shareholders will be updated accordingly, once the financial results
for the year ended 30 September 2008 have been published, with
regards to the salient dates and an adjusted offer price which
will be based on the 2008 year end audited results.
2. WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY
Shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcements dated 31
July and 21 August 2008 and are advised that as the contents
referred to therein have been fully disclosed, caution is no
longer required to be exercised by shareholders when dealing in
Conafex securities.
