TRADING UPDATE
In terms of the JSE Limited`s Listings Requirements, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain that the
financial results for the current reporting period will be more than 20%
different to that of the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are advised that Protech anticipates headline earnings per share
(`HEPS`)and earnings per share (`EPS`) for the six month period ended 31 August
2008 to exceed the corresponding period ended 31 August 2007 as follows:
EPS: Expected to increase by 20% to 30% (anticipated EPS between 14.0 cents
and 15.2 cents)
HEPS: Expected to increase by 25% to 35% (anticipated HEPS between 14.1
cents and 15.3 cents).
The interim financial results for the six month period ended 31 August 2008 are
expected to be published on Monday, 3 November 2008, coupled with an analyst`s
presentation in Johannesburg on 3 November 2008 and one in Cape Town on 4
November 2008. Details of the presentations will be posted on the company`s
website, www.pkh.co.za.
The estimated financial information has not been reviewed or audited by the
Company`s auditors.
