Renewal of executive directors` contracts
Shareholders are advised that:
(i) the service contract of Mr Brown, the CEO of the group, has been
renewed for 3 years on expiry of his contract on 30 March 2009. The re-
appointment of Mr Brown as an executive director with effect from 29
March 2009 upon expiry in terms of the articles of association of the
Company, will be confirmed at the annual general meeting to be held in
2009;
(ii) the service contract of Mr Lopes, seconded by the major shareholder,
Caxia Geral de Depositos S.A. has been renewed for 3 years upon expiry
of his contract on 08 November 2008. Mr Lopes will in accordance with
the articles of association of the company stand for re-election at
the annual general meeting to be held in 2009.
