Changes to the board of directors
In compliance with section 3.59 of the JSE Limited`s Listings Requirements,
shareholders are advised that with effect from 03 November 2008, Mr NJ Adami
and Ms DNM Mokhobo have been appointed as independent non-executive directors
of Altron.
Mr NJ Adami is currently the Chairman and Managing Director of SA Breweries
Limited having previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer
of SAB Miller Americas where he was responsible for the strategic oversight
of Miller Brewing and SAB Miller`s South and Central American business units
with revenue in excess of US$11 billion. Mr NJ Adami`s qualifications
include a B Bus Sci (Hons) from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from
the University of Witwatersrand Business School.
Ms DNM Mokhobo is the Deputy Executive Chairman of Partnership Investments
(Proprietary) Limited. She currently serves as a non-executive director on
the boards of Engen Limited, Massmart Holdings Limited and Sabvest Limited
and is recognised as one of South Africa`s leading managers and businesswoman
with a highly successful career spanning the public, private and parastatal
sectors. In 1993, Ms DNM Mokhobo won the South African Businesswoman of the
Year Award. Her qualifications include a BA in Social Science from the
University of the North, as well as a Programme in Strategic Transformation
from the University of Stellenbosch.
