FTSE/JSE Africa Index Series - Reinet Investments (South Africa): Postponement
of Rights Issue and the removal of British American Tobacco from the
FTSE/JSE Africa Index Series

Following the postponement of the Rights Issue by Reinet Investments (South
Africa, constituent) and notification from the Stock Exchange, FTSE and the JSE
announces that the implementation of the rights issue by Reinet and the
subsequent removal of British American Tobacco (South Africa ,constituent) from
the indices will not take place on 10 November as previously set out in the
proposed timetable dated 14 October 2008. The implementation date will be
published in the form of an Index Change Advice (ICA) once the company has
announced the final timetable.
