RESULTS OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND CASH DIVIDEND CONFIRMATION
The ordinary resolutions and the special resolution, authorising the repurchase
of ordinary shares in the Company, proposed at the Annual General Meeting held
today, 6 November 2008, were approved by the requisite majority of votes. This
included the election of Ms LBR Mthembu as well as the re-election of Dr NJ
Dlamini and Messrs CJH Ferreira and JCL van der Walt as directors of the
Company.
A copy of the special resolution passed at the annual general meeting will be
lodged with the Companies and Intellectual Properties Registration Office as
prescribed by the Companies Act, 1973, (Act 61 of 1973) as amended.
CASH DIVIDEND CONFIRMATION
In Gijima Ast Group`s results announcement for the year ended 30 June 2008
released on SENS on 27 August 2008, the Board had proposed a cash dividend of
3,5 cents per ordinary share payable to shareholders recorded in the books of
the Company at the close of business on Friday, 21 November 2008. The proposed
dividend was ratified and confirmed by shareholders at the Annual General
Meeting.

Last date to trade cum dividend Friday, 14 November 2008
Securities start trading ex dividend Monday, 17 November 2008
Record date Friday, 21 November 2008
Payment date Monday, 24 November 2008
Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Monday,
17 November 2008 and Friday, 21 November 2008, both dates inclusive.
The dividend is declared in the currency of the Republic of South Africa.
