CHANGE IN DIRECTORATE
PPC reminds shareholders that, as advised in last year`s annual report, Mr.
Martin Shaw, the current chairman of the Board of PPC ("the board"), will retire
as director at the Annual General Meeting of shareholders in January 2009 having
reached the mandatory retirement age for board members. In anticipation of the
retirement of Mr. Shaw, the PPC board of directors is pleased to announce the
appointment of Mr. Bheki Sibiya as an independent non-executive director to the
board with effect from 10 November 2008.
The board is also pleased to advise that Mr. Sibiya was elected Chairman of the
board with effect from 17 November 2008.
The board believes that the qualifications and experience of Mr Sibiya will add
significantly to the skills and expertise of the Board and enable him to guide
the board and the company to great success in the future.
