TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are advised that UCS`s headline earnings per share are expected to
be between 5% and 10% lower for the year ended 30 September 2008 than the
headline earnings per share for the previous corresponding period while earnings
per share are expected to be between 40% and 45% lower.
The decrease in the earnings per share year on year is predominantly as a
consequence of the once-off profit that arose in the 2007 financial year related
to the creation and unbundling of Argility Limited ("Product Co") which amounted
to R54.8-million net of tax or 20.5 cents per share of the total 57.4 cents
earnings per share reported for the year ended 30 September 2007.

25 November 2008.
