RESIGNATION OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
BJM announces the resignation of Merwen Mellet from the Group
Merwen recently celebrated his 22nd anniversary at BJM, having joined the firm
as Silvis Barnard & Co. in 1986. Built on the fundamental values of integrity
and service excellence, he helped drive the firm to open offices in Edinburgh,
New York and to list the company on the main board of the JSE during 1998.
Perhaps the personal highlight in Merwen`s career would have been the of
founding of BJM Private Client Services which today is the trusted custodian to
11`500 client relationships and more than R30bn in assets.
Merwen`s decision to resign was taken after careful consideration for his
quality of life, and he leaves to pursuit personal interests. The board of
directors of BJM wish him pleasure and prosperity in these ventures, and above
all else - good healthand thank Merwen for dedicating his career to the tireless
service and stewardship of the firm.
