Drilling Update - Recent assay results confirm significant copper mineralisation
over extensive strike and dip at Kalumbila
The Board of Kiwara, the Zambian based exploration Company, is pleased to
announce further results from its ongoing drilling programme on the Kalumbila
base metals target.
Highlights:
- Bore Hole L38 assayed 0.94% copper ("Cu") over 20.44m intersection from
127.89m, including 1.19% Cu over 14.03m intersection from 131.51m;
- Bore Hole L37 assayed 0.81% Cu over 19.22m intersection from 139.50m;
- Bore Hole L36 assayed 0.50% Cu over 26.80m intersection from 168.10m and
includes 0.94% Cu over 4.00m from 170.50 m;
- Strike length of mineralization has extended westwards by 400m; and
- Additional borehole sample assay results are awaited.
Kalumbila Drilling Update:
Core Bore Hole L38 was inclined at -70o.and drilled 400m west of Bore Hole L35
(reported 14 October 2008).. The assay results show that the upper mineralised
zone is close to surface.
Core Bore Hole L37 was inclined at -75o.and drilled 600m due west of Bore Hole
L30 (reported 27 May 2008) and demonstrates geological continuity between L30
and the historic bore holes drilled by Roan Selection Trust to the north and
west of L37.
Core Bore Hole L36 was inclined at -70o.and drilled 143m south of Bore Hole L33
(reported 20 August 2008). Cu mineralization in L36 correlates well with the
mineralization previously reported in L33.
Selected Results of L36 - L38
The selected length weighted mineralised intersections for which a cut-off grade
of 0.3%Cu was applied for each of the three bore holes are summarised in the
table below:

127.89 148.33 20.44 0.94*

Alfred H Knight of Kitwe, Zambia - an internationally accredited laboratory
(SANAS, UKAS, QMS) - carried out the assays of the core samples from these drill
holes.
Colin Bird (Chairman) said: "The Company is pleased with these encouraging
results, which together with those previously reported, continue to extend
strike and geological continuity. The Company is aggressively pursuing this
target with the objective of developing a resource and proceeding to feasibility
study."
About Kiwara:
Kiwara is an exploration company with a focus on base metals in the Republic of
Zambia, which is a major copper producing country.
Kiwara, through its majority owned subsidiary, Kalumbila Minerals, holds
Prospecting Licence 267 which is within the Kabompo Dome in North Western
Zambia, a geologically complex antiformal feature, which contains a number of
base metal and uranium targets. This is within the area considered to be the
western extension of the Copperbelt, an increasingly significant mining area
that contains the recently developed Kansanshi and Lumwana copper mines.
