ANGLO PLATINUM FORMS AN ALLIANCE WITH TWP, AMONGST OTHERS
TWP shareholders attention is drawn to the recent announcement by Anglo
Platinum:
"Anglo Platinum has entered into alliance agreements with three consultancies,
based on stringent selection criteria, to target "best practice" in terms of
project delivery. Anglo Platinum`s partnerships with Hatch Africa, TWP and
Read, Swartman & Voigt (RSV) make it possible for these consultants to plan
their workload and resource utilisation over a three-year period.
The major advantage to Anglo Platinum is the continuity of qualified and
experienced people being deployed into projects.
TWP, Hatch and RSV provide engineering consulting services across the full
spectrum of mining and process disciplines. Similarily Vhumbanani Projects have
provided engineering services in delivering Concentrator Projects through an
alliance agreement that was established three years ago.
These new alliance partnering agreements secure the high-level skilled services
of the consultancies, and specify which projects will be undertaken by which
consultancy. However, each project will be governed by distinct terms and the
consultants will be required to demonstrate their ability and commitment to
deliver.
Anglo Platinum facilitated the agreements to conduct business in the Anglo
Platinum way. TWP, Hatch Africa and RSV have good track records and have
demonstrated the value they add over many years.
TWP is involved in the Paardekraal 2 Shaft Project, Waterval UG2 Phase 2 Project
and the Rustenburg Platinum Mine Chemical Division (RPMCD) Rehabilitation
Project. Hatch is partnered at Amandelbult 4 Shaft and Concentrator Project and
the Rustenburg Base Metals Refinery Expansion Project. RSV is undertaking many
mining related projects, among them being Brakfontein 120ktpm, Middelpunt Hill
and Townlands Ore Replacement.
