Trading statement
In terms of the JSE Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a
trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain that the financial
results for the current reporting period will differ by at least 20% from the
financial results for the corresponding period of the previous year.
Eureka`s shareholders are hereby notified that the group continues to trade
profitably as an investment trust even though its earnings and headline earnings
per share for the six months ending 31 August 2008 are expected to be between
90% and 99% lower than the unaudited interim results for the six months ending
31 August 2007.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors and is therefore not signed
off by the auditors. The results for the six months ending 31 August 2008 are
expected to be published before the end of November 2008.
