FURTHER ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE ABRIDGED AUDITED RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE
2008
Shareholders are advised that the emphasis of matter that was detailed in the
announcement dated 3 October 2008 related to a prior year reportable
irregularity. The matter is detailed in the directors` report as follows. The
directors are of the opinion that the group will continue as a going concern for
the foreseeable future. During the year under review the prior auditors felt the
going concern status of Vinguard, due to its significance to the holding
company, and the holding company itself had changed constituting a material
irregularity. As such it was reported, this report was, however, withdrawn in
light of the post balance sheet event as detailed below.
As recently announced, the company has secured a R10 000 000 convertible loan
subsequent to year end pursuant to acquiring control of Vinguard (Pty) Ltd from
Mondi Limited.
