UCS GROUP APPOINTS DEPUTY CEO AND NEW CFO
UCS Group announces the appointment of the current Chief Financial Officer Dean
Sparrow as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Josephine Fortuin as the new Chief
Financial Officer with effect from 31 March 2009.
The new role of Deputy CEO will entail taking on a number of the current CEO
duties from John Bright.
Dean was appointed CFO of UCS Group in August 2002 and oversaw many
acquisitions, the restructuring of UCS`s divisions and the setting up of the
Group`s offshore structures.
Josephine (Josie) Fortuin joined UCS Group in March 2004 and has worked closely
with Dean Sparrow in her capacity as Group Financial Manager since March 2005.
Josie has an in-depth knowledge of the UCS Group`s structures, financial
reporting processes and stakeholder engagements. She was, amongst other Group
initiatives, intricately involved in the creation and unbundling of Argility
Limited (Argility) from UCS in September 2007 at which time she assumed the role
of CFO of Argility (also a widely held interest company). Josie will join the
UCS Group board from 31 March 2009.

positions them well to advance the Group`s stated growth strategy both locally
and abroad."
