The board of Capitec is pleased to announce that Moody`s Investors Service has
kept the long-term national scale credit rating of Capitec Bank Limited,
Capitec`s banking subsidiary, unchanged at A2.za. The short-term rating at P-
1.za remains similarly unchanged. Both ratings` outlook remains stable.
The board of Capitec is very positive about Moody`s decision to keep the rating
unchanged in the current economic turmoil. The long-term rating reflects a good
long-term credit quality and the short-term rating a strong ability to repay
short-term debt obligations.
