TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain that the
financial results for the current reporting period will be more than 20%
different from that of the previous corresponding period.
Conafex accordingly advises that it expects that losses per share for the
financial year ended 30th September 2008 are expected to increase to 235 SA
cents compared to losses of 159 SA cents for the comparative period of last
year, and headline earnings per share for the financial year ended 30th
September 2008 are expected to decrease to a loss of 293 SA cents compared to
earnings of 58 SA cents for the comparative period last year.
Shareholders are advised that the above information has not been reviewed or
reported on by Conafex`s external auditors.
The preliminary announcement of Conafex`s results for the year ended 30th
September 2008 is expected to be announced on 22nd December 2008.
