TRADING STATEMENT
ZCI is currently finalising its results for the period ended 30 September 2008,
which will be released shortly. In this regard, shareholders are advised that
headline earnings per share and earnings per share will be between 92% and 97%
lower and between 91% and 96% lower respectively than those reported for the
year ended 31 March 2008.
This decrease is based on the change in the Company`s investments as the sale of
Konkola Copper Mines ("KCM") was concluded at the beginning of the period, with
the result that ZCI no longer includes any income attributable to KCM in its
financial statements.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the Company`s auditors.
