TEAL EXPLORATION & MINING INCORPORATED ANNOUNCES DATE FOR SPECIAL MEETING
Tuesday, December 30, 2008: Following the definitive agreement entered into
between TEAL Exploration & Mining Inc. ("TEAL"), African Rainbow Minerals
Limited and Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, relating to the proposed acquisition of
all of the outstanding common shares of TEAL, which was announced on December
15, 2008, TEAL has scheduled a special meeting of shareholders for Friday,
February 13, 2009 where shareholders will be asked to consider and approve an
arrangement transaction. The record date for the meeting will be Wednesday,
January 14, 2009.
Notice for Dematerialized South African Shareholders:
Under applicable rules of the JSE Limited, the last day to trade in order for
dematerialized South African shareholders of TEAL to be eligible to vote at the
special meeting is January 7, 2009.
