CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited and following
approval by the Gambling Board of national employee licences, Shareholders are
advised that Mr R Cooper has been appointed as a Non-executive Director of the
company with effect from 14 January 2009.
Mr Cooper is a Chartered Accountant and was appointed a partner of KPMG in 1982,
which position he held until his retirement in February 2008. Mr Cooper will
Chair the Audit Committee.
Additionally, Mr W A du Plessis has been appointed as an Executive Director of
the company with effect from 14 January 2009.
As notified in the announcement made on 27 June 2008, Mr du Plessis was
appointed as Group Chief Executive Officer of the company and Chief Executive
Officer of the company`s international arm, Phumelela Gold Enterprises, with
effect from 1 August 2008.
The Directors welcome Mr Cooper and Mr du Plessis to the Board.
