FATAL ACCIDENT AT PAMODZI GOLD ORKNEY OPERATION
It is with deep regret that the management of Pamodzi Gold announces the death
of one of its employees, Mr January Moses Thabana, in an underground accident at
the Orkney operation.
The accident occurred on 16 January 2009 in the 70 North West 2,40C Travelling
Way (2092 metres below surface) at the No. 2 Shaft during which Mr January Moses
Thabana was fatally wounded.
Mining activity in the working area has been suspended pending a full
investigation into the factors that resulted in the accident.
Pamodzi Gold management extends condolences to Mr Thabana`s family, colleagues
and friends.
