CHANGES IN BOARD MEMBERSHIP
In compliance with paragraph 3.59(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the board of directors of Best Cut would like to announce that Mr
Nick Serfontein has resigned from the board of directors with effect from 26
January 2009, Nick has relocated from Pretoria to Tzaneen in January and
indicated that his availability to the Best Cut board will in future be
severely limited because of distance and other business interests. The board
of Best Cut wish to thank Nick for his valued contribution and bid him well in
his future endeavours.
Furthermore, and in accordance with rule 3.59(a) of the Listing Requirements,
the board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Johannes Vincent
("Blackie") Swart as independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
Blackie has a wealth of experience in the meat industry, having been actively
involved in various sectors of the industry for the past 34 years. Blackie has
held management positions in various corporate and private companies in the
meat industry ranging from meat processing to the import and export of meat.
Blackie was involved in the development and implementation of central packed
retail cuts for Woolworth`s nationally and was actively involved in research
and development of new consumer products for various retailers, including
Woolworths, Pick and Pay, Checkers, SPAR and OK Bazaars.
