DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION
The USD distribution amount (which represents a pro rata portion of the
distributable income of the portfolio) has been calculated after deduction of
any withholding tax payable by db x-trackers on dividends. The USD distribution
amount of USD 0.00984 per dbx USA security is calculated as follows:
- Gross foreign dividends of USD 0.00995 (zero point nine nine five cents);
- Less withholding tax of USD 0.00146 (zero point one four six cents);
- Plus other income of USD 0.00001 (zero point zero zero one cents);
- Plus return of capital from equalization amounts of USD 0.00134 (zero point
one three four cents).
The equalization amounts represent the portion of the NAV that relates to
accrued dividends in the fund that need to be paid by new investors during the
creation of new units in order to place new investors on an equal footing to the
existing investors.
The information set out above is published for information purposes only, inter
alia, to enable South African resident tax payers the ability to claim a foreign
tax credit or rebate (in terms of the section 6 quat) or a deduction (in terms
of section 11C(4) of the Income Tax Act 58 of 1962), in respect of foreign
dividend income accruing to holders. This information does not purport to
constitute tax advice, is not exhaustive and holders should contact their tax
advisors if they are in any doubt as to their right to a tax rebate or deduction
or the action to be taken by them.
