NOTIFICATION OF PRELIMINARY RESULTS

Old Mutual plc will release its preliminary results for the year ended 31
December 2008 at 07:00 GMT (08:00 CET / 09:00 South African time) on Wednesday
4 March 2009. A presentation will be held for investors and analysts at 09:00
GMT (10:00 CET / 11:00 South African time).
Julian Roberts, Chief Executive, and Philip Broadley, Group Finance Director
will host the presentation from the Company`s London offices at Old Mutual
Place, 2 Lambeth Hill, London EC4V 4GG. There will be a satellite link to
Johannesburg, where Paul Hanratty, Managing Director of Old Mutual South
Africa will host South African investors and analysts at Mutual Square,
