DECLARATION OF PREFERENCE DIVIDENDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following preference dividends have been
declared for the six months to 28 February 2009, payable on Monday, 9 March
2009.
The last day on which shares will trade cum dividend will be Friday, 27 February
2009. Shoprite Holdings Ltd preference shares will trade ex dividend as from
Monday, 2 March 2009. The record date will be Friday, 6 March 2009.
Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Monday, 2
March 2009 and Friday, 6 March 2009, both days inclusive.
