With regard to the audited results for the year ended 31 December 2008,
shareholders are advised that the annual financial statements have been
distributed to shareholders on 26 February 2009 and contain no modifications to
the audited results which were published on SENS on 16 February 2009.

Notice is hereby given that the 3rd annual general meeting of Kumba shareholders
will be held at Hyatt Regency Johannesburg Hotel on 20 March 2009 at 12:00 to
transact the business as stated in the annual general meeting notice forming
