APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD
In compliance with rule 3.59(a) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
the board of directors of Rolfes hereby announces the appointments of two new
independent non-executive directors with effect from 25 February 2009, namely Ms
Karabo Nondumo, Chief Executive Officer of AWCA Investments Holdings Limited and
Mr Takalani Tshivhase, executive director of Pinnacle Technology Holdings
Limited.
Their credentials are summarised as follows:
Karabo Tshailane Nondumo CA (SA)
Bacc (Natal), HdipAcc (Wits)
Karabo is the Chief Executive Officer of AWCA Investment Holdings Limited. She
was previously the Head of Global Markets Operations at Rand Refinery Ltd. She
was also an Associate and Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Shanduka Group.
Her investment experience includes mergers and acquisitions, capital raising,
business turnarounds and post-investment monitoring. She served on a number of
Boards of investee companies on behalf Shanduka Group. Her experience is spread
across various sectors, including natural resources, Financial Services, Media
and Telecommunications, Gaming and Energy. She completed her articles with
PriceWaterhouseCoopers where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. She is a
member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and
African Women Chartered Accountants (AWCA).
Mr Takalani Tshivhase
MBL (SA); MAdmin (Econ) (Pret); HonsB (Admin) (Econ) (SA); BAdmin (UNIN), FIBSA
(SA); CPMM (Wits); CM (SA), M.Inst.D
Takalani is an Executive Director of Pinnacle Technology Holdings Limited, since
May 2003, after a successful and varied career in government and commerce.
During the past six years he has demonstrably contributed to the growth and
success of the Pinnacle Group through the successful penetration of key
accounts, operational management and strategic direction. His other
directorships are as follows:
Non Executive Chairman of Datanet Infrastructure Group (Pty) Ltd; Director of
Pinnacle Micro (Pty) Ltd; Non Executive Director of Rentnet Rentals (Pty) Ltd;
Non Executive Director of Workgroup T/A Explix Technologies (Pty) Ltd; Ex Non
Executive Director of Intersite Management Services.
