Completion of Verizon Business South Africa acquisition
Further to the SENS announcement on the 25th June 2008, shareholders are advised
that all regulatory and competition commission clearances have now been
obtained. Accordingly, the acquisition of 100% of Verizon South Africa (Pty)
Ltd ("Verizon Business South Africa") will complete on 27 February 2009.
Following completion, Verizon Business South Africa will trade under the MTN
Business trademark.
Verizon Business South Africa is an established Internet Service Provider with
its headquarters in Johannesburg. It provides full connectivity services to
corporate customers in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Kenya.
