Change to the board of directors
In compliance with section 3.59 (c) of the JSE Limited`s Listings Requirements,
Altron shareholders are advised that with effect from 01 March 2009, Dr WP
Venter`s role at Altron changed from being a full-time Chairman to a non-
executive Chairman.
Having been involved in an executive capacity at Altron for the past 44 years
and overseen the successful transition of the second generation leadership of
Altron in 2001, Dr WP Venter has, on his own initiative and with the approval of
the board, decided to assume the role of non-executive Chairman of Altron.
Dr WP Venter will continue to serve as a non-executive director and/or non-
executive Chairman on various other boards of the Altron group, as well as
remain a member of Altron`s Nomination and Remuneration Committees.
