Shareholders are advised that the annual financial statements for the year ended
31 December 2008, posted today, Friday 6 March 2009 are identical to the audited
results, which were published on SENS on Tuesday 24 February 2009.
Notice is hereby given that the annual general meeting of Mercantile will be
held at 12:30 on Thursday 28 May 2009 in the Boardroom, First Floor, Mercantile
Bank, 142 West Street, Sandown, Sandton. The notice of annual general meeting is
issued with the annual report, which contains the annual financial statements of
Mercantile for the year ended 31 December 2008.
