TIER II BOND ISSUE
Nedbank Limited ("Nedbank"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nedbank Group, has
privately placed a 13-year (non-call 8) USD 100 million listed Lower Tier 2
subordinated unsecured fixed rate note with an international investor.
The note was placed under the Nedbank USD 2 billion Euro Medium Term Note
Program (EMTN) registered on 12 December 2008 under the Financial Services
Authority UK Listings Authority on the London Stock Exchange.
The note has been assigned the ratings of A2/BBB respectively by Moody`s
Investors Service and Fitch Ratings respectively under the EMTN program.
