As part of the dual listed company structure, Investec plc and Investec Limited
notify both the London Stock Exchange and the JSE Limited of matters which are
required to be disclosed under the Disclosure, Transparency and Listing Rules of
the United Kingdom Listing Authority (the "UKLA") and/or the JSE Listing
Requirements.
Accordingly, we advise of the following:
ADDITIONAL LISTING - INVESTEC PLC
Application will be made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for an additional listing of 10,000,000 Investec plc Ordinary Shares of
GBP0.0002 each (the "New Ordinary Shares") to trade on the London Stock Exchange
and to be admitted to the Official List. The shares will rank pari passu with
the existing issued shares of Investec plc.
Pursuant to the dual listed company structure, Investec plc will also apply to
the JSE Limited for the admission to trading of the New Ordinary Shares on the
JSE.
The additional listing is pursuant to the issue of shares to:
- the Investec Limited Security Purchase and Options Scheme 2002 Trust at a
price of GBP2.6825 (being the closing price on 30 March 2009) - to satisfy
awards to be made under the Investec Limited Share Incentive Plan
The total number of issued ordinary shares in Investec plc is now 444,937,238
and a further confirmatory announcement will be made in due course
