("UCS" or "the Group" or "the Company")
CLOSED PERIOD SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAMME
UCS advises that it has, via a subsidiary company, entered into an agreement
to repurchase shares during a closed period ("the repurchase"). This period
commences on 1 April 2009 and is expected to end on or about the 19th of May
2009 on the release of the Group`s interim results for the six months ended 31
March 2009.
The mandate in this agreement which has been granted to a single agent is for
a non-discretionary programme to repurchase the Company`s shares in compliance
with the regulatory requirements. Any purchases will be effected within certain
pre-set parameters within the limits of the programme and the Listings
Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE").
The repurchase is subject to the sponsor confirming in writing to the JSE
that the Company meets its working capital requirements as set out in the
Listings Requirements of the JSE.
The intention is to repurchase the Company`s shares to a maximum value of
R 5-million.
