CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND COMPANY SECRETARY
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited,
the board of directors of SecureData hereby notifies its shareholders that:
- Dr Thembakazi Noluthando Mali has resigned as an independent non-executive
director with effect from 31 March 2009;
- Messrs Andrew Guthrie Aitken and Njabulo Zamindlela Mthembu have been
appointed as non-executive directors with effect from 2 April 2009;
- Mr Pieter Rudolf Pretorius, currently a non-executive director, will assume
the role of chairman with effect from 2 April 2009, replacing Mr Peter
Sneddon who will stand down as the independent non-executive chairman but
will remain on as an independent non-executive director and chairman of the
audit committee; and
- Merchantec (Proprietary) Limited has been appointed as SecureData`s company
secretary with effect from 2 April 2009, replacing Ms Kim Rossam who
resigned as company secretary with effect from 2 April 2009.
Andrew Aitken (CA (SA), CFA) is a private equity transactor in the private
equity division of Rand Merchant Bank and has over eight years experience in
private equity transactions and investment banking.
Njabulo Mthembu (CPA, (USA)) is as an executive director of Treacle Private
Equity (Proprietary) Limited ("Treacle"), where he has been responsible for the
management of investments on behalf of Treacle`s private equity fund for the
past five years.
The board of directors would like to thank Thembakazi Mali and Kim Rossam for
their contributions to the company and wishes them success in the future.
