LISTING OF SHARIAH 40 SECURITIES
Further to the announcement published on 23 February 2009 regarding the initial
public offering for participatory interests in the NewFunds Shariah Top 40 Index
ETF Portfolio ("Shariah 40 securities"), Java Capital (Proprietary) Limited is
authorised to announce that the JSE Limited ("JSE") has approved the listing on
the main board of the JSE of Shariah 40 securities in the "Exchange Traded
Funds" sector, with effect from commencement of business on Monday, 6 April
2009.
Subscriptions valued at approximately R27,236,436.67 were received pursuant to
the Initial Public Offering.
A copy of the Offering circular issued on 3 September 2007 together with the
Shariah 40 Portfolio Supplement issued on 23 February 2009 is available at the
registered office of the Manager (3rd Floor, Absa Towers East, 170 Main Street,
Johannesburg and at www.newfunds.co.za).
SUBSCRIPTIONS
11,920,446 Shariah 40 securities will be issued to successful applicants at
commencement of trade on Monday, 6 April 2009 at a price per security of
approximately R2.27 and at a conversion ratio of 0.4147717 securities for every
1 letter of allotment issued pursuant to cash subscriptions and one million
Shariah 40 securities for every full basket of constituent securities delivered.

Shariah 40 securities are not in any way sponsored, endorsed, sold or promoted
by the JSE, in its capacity as one of the joint-owners of the FTSE/JSE Shariah
Top 40 Index (the "Index"), which makes no warranty or representation
whatsoever, expressly or implied, either as to the basis of calculation of, or
as to the results to be obtained from the use of the Index and/or the value at
which the Index stands at any particular time on any particular day or
otherwise. Neither the JSE, in its capacity as one of the joint owners of the
Index, nor the Manager shall be liable (whether in negligence or otherwise) to
any person for any error in the Index and shall not be under any obligation to
advise any person of any error therein.
"FTSE" is a trade mark of the London Stock Exchange Plc and the Financial Times
Limited and is used by the Manager under license. "JSE" is a trade mark of the
JSE Limited and is used by the Manager under licence.
Shariah 40 securities are not eligible for sale in the United States ("U.S.") or
in any other jurisdiction in which trading in them would be illegal. The Shariah
40 securities have not been, and will not be, registered under the U.S.
Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and trading in securities has not been
approved by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission under the U.S.
Commodity Exchange Act. The Shariah 40 securities may not be offered, sold or
delivered within the U.S. or to U.S. persons, nor may any U.S. person at any
time trade or maintain a position in them.
