TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a Trading Statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that
the financial results for the period to be reported on next will differ by more
than 20% from those of the previous corresponding period.
Altech advises that it expects the company`s basic earnings per share for the
year ended 28 February 2009 to increase by between 30% and 38% compared to the
prior comparative period, using accounting policies consistent with those used
in the comparative period.
As already advised in Altech`s trading statement dated 4 February 2009, the
adjusted headline earnings per share will increase by between 10% and 19%.
Shareholders are advised that the content of this statement and the financial
information it is based on, have not been reviewed and reported on by the
company`s auditors. Altech will release its preliminary results for the
financial year ended 28 February 2009 on 23 April 2009.
