NO CHANGE STATEMENT AND NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
With regard to the audited results for the year ended 31 December 2008,
shareholders are advised that the annual financial statements have been posted
on AECI`s website (www.aeci.co.za) and printed copies have been mailed to
shareholders today, 14 April 2009. The annual financial statements contain no
modifications to the reviewed condensed consolidated financial results which
were published on SENS on 24 February 2009.

Notice is hereby given that the 85th annual general meeting of AECI shareholders
will be held at 9:00 on Monday 25 May 2009 on the ground floor, AECI Place, 24
