CLARIFICATION ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to a clerical error in the offices of the Company`s Communications Advisor,
an unapproved and unauthorised statement was erroneously distributed to certain
media channels by the Communications Advisor on Friday 17 April 2009.
This media release has been interpreted in certain reports to mean that the
Board has "formally rejected" the proposed offer by Adcock Ingram Holdings
Limited ("Adcock").
The Board reiterates its statement released on SENS on Friday 17 April 2009 that
it is in the process of properly and fully considering the offer by Adcock, and
has yet to form an opinion on the offer.
