RESULTS OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Shareholders are advised that, at the annual general meeting of shareholders of
Universal held on Tuesday, 28 April 2009 (in terms of the notice of annual
general meeting contained in the Universal annual report issued on 31 March
2009) all of the resolutions were passed by the requisite majority of Universal
shareholders.
Accordingly the salient dates for the cash distribution by way of a capital
reduction out of share premium of 3 cents per share, as announced in the annual
results announcement released on SENS on 9 March 2009, remain as follows:

Shares will commence trading ex the distribution on Monday, 18 May
