TRADING UPDATE FOR THE 12 MONTHS ENDED 28 FEBRUARY 2009
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that
the financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by at least
20% or more from those of the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are hereby advised that the earnings per share and headline
earnings per share for the 12 months ended 28 February 2009 are expected to be
between 85% and 100% higher than that reported on for the 8 month period ended
29 February 2008.
On a like for like basis the earnings per share and headline earnings per share
for the 12 months ended 28 February 2009 are expected to be between 50% and 65%
higher than the earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the
comparative 12 month period ended 29 February 2008. The results for the 12 month
period ended 29 February 2008 are based on management accounts for the period as
a result of the change in year end of the company in the prior period from June
2007 to 29 February 2008. The management accounts for the previous 12 month
period ending 29 February 2008 have not been audited or reviewed by CIC`s
auditors.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by CIC`s auditors.
The audited results for the year ended 28 February 2009 are expected to be
published on SENS on or before 22 May 2009.
