CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the following
information is disclosed:
Mrs Z A Kota-Fredericks has resigned as a non-executive director from the
Board of Sekunjalo Investments Limited, with effect from 14 May 2009.
Sekunjalo is proud to announce that Mrs Kota-Fredericks has been appointed to
the Cabinet of the Republic of South Africa as a Deputy Minister and in
observing good governance between the Public and Private sector, the
appointment has resulted in her tendering her resignation.
Mrs Kota-Fredericks thanks the Board of Sekunjalo for her tenure on the
company`s board and wishes the company, which she feels is one of the most
successful empowerment companies, a prosperous future.
The Executive Chairman, Dr M I Surve, has on behalf of the Board, the
Management and all the employees expressed his deep and sincere gratitude to
the Deputy Minister for her service to the company and for the wisdom and
support she has given the company as a founder member and director.
Dr Surve would like to congratulate her on being appointed to the position in
the National Government and wishes her well and is confident that she will be
a great asset to the National Government.
