Following the completed unbundling of Vodacom Group (South Africa, constituent)
from Telkom (South Africa, constituent) and notification from the Stock
Exchange, FTSE and the JSE announces the following changes:
INDEX CHANGE EFFECTIVE FROM

FTSE/JSE Africa Top 40 (J200) Vodacom Group
(South Africa, B65B4D0, ZAE000132577)
will remain in the index with an
unchanged shares in issue figure
of 525,228,322 and an unchanged
investability weight of 50%
Steinhoff International Holdings
(South Africa, 6127936, ZAE000016176)
will be deleted from the index. 20 May 2009
FTSE/JSE Africa Mid Cap (J201) Steinhoff International
Holdings will be added to the
index with a shares in issue
figure of 1,369,418,127 and an
investability weighting of 100%.
Hulamin (South Africa,
B1XGL31, ZAE000096210)
will be deleted from the index. 20 May 2009
FTSE/JSE Africa Small Cap (J202) Hulamin will be added to
the index with a shares
in issue figure of 214,364,808
and an investability
weight of 30%. 20 May 2009
FTSE/JSE Africa Industrial 25 (J211) Vodacom Group will
remain in the index
as above.
Illovo Sugar (South Africa, 6840084,
ZAE000083846) will be deleted
from the index. 20 May 2009

Industrial 30 (J213) Vodacom Group will remain
in the index as above.
Medi-Clinic Corp (South Africa, B0PGJF0,
ZAE000074142) will be deleted
from the index. 20 May 2009

remain in the index as above.

Holdings will be deleted
