Withdrawal of Cautionary Announcement
Shareholders are informed that discussions with the various parties referred
to in the cautionary announcement released on SENS on 30 March 2009 ("the
discussions"), have to date not resulted in any conclusive agreement being
reached. Accordingly, the board of directors of the company ("the board") is
of the opinion that under current circumstances, it is advisable to withdraw
the aforementioned cautionary announcement. The board however continues to
investigate all available means to unlock value in the company for shareholders
and/or to comply with paragraph 4.28(d) of the JSE Limited ("JSE") Listings
Requirements.
Shareholders are reminded that the JSE has granted ElementOne an extension
("the extension") to the deadline to comply with the JSE Listings Requirements,
until 30 September 2009. The extension was granted on the basis that ElementOne
would continue the discussions and accordingly, the termination of the
discussions could result in a delisting of ElementOne.
Shareholders will be kept appraised of developments.
