REVISED TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are referred to a trading statement published by the company on
12 May 2009 in which they were notified that the directors of the company were
reasonably certain that in respect of the year ended 28 February 2009:
- headline earnings per share was expected to be between 565% and 585% lower
compared to the restated results for the prior comparative period; and
- earnings per share was expected to be between 455% and 475% lower than for
the restated results for the prior comparative period.
In this regard, the estimate of the decrease in headline earnings per share has
been revised to between 475% and 495% lower and the estimate of the decrease in
earnings per share has been revised to between 155% and 175% lower than
previously reported.
The above revision emanates from a further fair value adjustment on certain
fixed property and the capitalisation of mining and exploration costs.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors.
The results for the year ended 28 February 2009 are expected to be published
before the end of May 2009.
