TRADING STATEMENT
The financial results of the company and its subsidiaries ("the Group") for the
year ended 31 March 2009 will be published on SENS on or about Monday, 8 June
2009.
The Group`s comparative financial results for the year ended 31 March 2008
included trading results for the OmniBridge RSA (now MiX Telematics
International) and Datatrak Europe (now MiX Telematics Europe) businesses for 6
months only and accordingly provide no meaningful basis of comparison against
the audited financial results for the year ended 31 March 2009, which include
trading results for these businesses for a full 12 months.
Accordingly, this trading update is in respect of the expected audited financial
results for the year ended 31 March 2009 compared to the pro-forma comparative
financial information for the year ended 31 March 2008 ("pro-forma prior
comparative period") as contained in the company`s published financial results
announcement for that period. An unqualified reporting accountant`s report was
issued on the pro-forma information of the Group for the year ended 31 March
2008.
The company accordingly advises that it expects:
- Headline earnings per share ("HEPS")to be between 20% and 30% higher than
the pro-forma HEPS of 9.7 cents reported for the pro-forma prior
comparative period; and
- Adjusted headline earnings per share ("adjusted HEPS")to be between 20% and
30% higher than the pro-forma adjusted HEPS of 12.7 cents reported for the
pro-forma prior comparative period
